How do I time resets in my rooms?
This may involve some configuration of Mythric events, but your hint buttons could already be configured in a way that works. To see if they are working, go into a room that has ended (win or lose) and press the hint button. If a green clock icon appears next to the game name on the overview, hosting, or game master page, the reset is being timed. Specific info about configuration can be found here along with how to start/stop the timer.
You can also add a digital copy of your reset list to Drawbridge and it will appear on the timer screen when a timed reset begins. Info on adding those can be found here.
Where can I put information about players wanting nudges or extra help when hosting?
We feel that asking players if they want nudges can be restrictive to game masters and negatively impact player experience. Many groups say they don’t want extra help which makes GM’s feel they can’t assist the group at all until a hint is requested. This can lead to a low escape rate and feelings of resentment between players and their GM.
Your GM’s are the experts on these games and they know when things need to be happening in the room. Letting them use this knowledge to make the experience flawless for every player is the goal, which means allowing them to nudge freely. Learning how and when to nudge a group is an art and that’s why having a good GM is so foundational to a good escape room experience.
I claimed the wrong booking while hosting! What do I do?
Navigate to that game's card in the “Active” column and click on the name attached to that booking’s card. A window will appear, asking if you would like to move that particular booking back to "Up Next".
If the game has not begun, its entire card will be removed from "Active", allowing you to claim and start the correct group.
If the game is running, the booking's card will reappear in "Up Next" but the game will continue to run. At this point, simply click "Claim" on the correct booking to associate that reservation with the currently running instance of that game.
The prologue skips after playing for a few seconds. How can I fix this?
Make sure there aren’t multiple tabs open on the active countdown screen’s device!
Is the observation screen secure?
There are multiple measures in place to ensure that the observation screen is secure and guests will not be able to mess with the game in any way.
Drawbridge is only accessible to devices on your local network. Even if the url is visible, guests will not be able to access Drawbridge unless they are on the same network as your Drawbridge server.
For parent observation, we recommend using dedicated iPads configured in Kiosk Mode, which includes:
Restricted access to only the observation screen, with no controls on the screen
No ability to navigate to other applications or websites
Disabled browser navigation and URL editing
Volume and system settings locked
No access to device settings or other apps
